Where it all began

Back in 2017 I bought my first car which was a 98′ Mitsubishi eclipse GST in red. I absolutely loved that car and I had a desire to work on it but I didn’t know how. I went to a shop and they tried to charge me $700 for a “tune up” and all it entailed was a tire rotation, spark plugs, and all new fluids. I dug into the work required and realized it was all something I could do with some simple tools. Ran to AutoZone, got a jack and some tools, and I did all of the work for probably about 150-200 bucks with the tools included. from that point I fell in-love with DIY and cars became my hobby.

Fast forward

After having  my 2G for a few months, I wanted something a little bit better so I got myself a 2012 Audi A5, and soon learned modding German cars wasn’t as easy as it would’ve been for a Japanese car. While owning the Audi, I missed my old Mitsubishi, so I started shopping around. i found the car that completely changed my hobby into a real passion that would change the way I viewed cars entirely. A 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8! I would’ve never knew this little 4dr sedan would pack the punch it did. I didn’t know much about it until after I got it, reason being was, I blew my motor 2k miles after I got it…

Well, Now what?

The Evo sat for about 6 months before I had the money to do anything with it. I did end up buying about 2 more 2G eclipses and pretty much parting them out before I eventually had the money for my evo. When the time finally came in 2018, I found a used long block for $3300 dollars from B&M Performance, and they got my motor shipped to a well known Evo tech named Zach. he took care of my car and got it running right again for me. I got my car from NJ all the way back to NC in 1 piece with my junk motor in the trunk. I decided I would mess around with it and take it apart, and man was that fun. I thought I was over cars after how much it cost to get the evo running again after the new motor and timing components went it, and all the extra little stuff it needed. But nope. still, was only the beginning.

My first build?

After I got my car back to NC I ended up joining a car club, meeting like minded people who had a passion for cars and the automotive world. Nobody hated on anybody, we all just wanted to park up in a parking lot, shoot the shit and just enjoy our cars. I got to talking to someone and they were telling me all these things I could do to my evo to make it better, faster, and way more fun. I started collecting parts to make my car something more for me, and unique. I got my self some GSC S2 cams, GSC lifters, VRSF Intercooler, ETS intercooler piping, VMI 1000cc injectors, Evo 9 turbo, and I held onto all that for about a year before I was out the military, and had time to send my car off to get built. thanks Remy at DDA for making my car what it was.

Final form

Here it is after everything was done to it, including a wrap job done by a good high school friend of mine years after we graduated.

Forged Evolution, the beginning of a brand?

As you can see all over this site, it pretty much revolves around carbon fiber and cars. Well, I couldn’t find a ton of aftermarket parts I liked for my current Evo 6 the way I could for my Evo 8. that issue mixed with wanting to create something for the car community, I decided I would make some forged carbon radiator brackets. I was bored at first, and wanted to do something. but when I saw the results I had gotten with the brackets I thought maybe this is my contribution to the car community I was looking for. I realized it was also something I wanted to do and create more parts out of. So ForgedEvolution.com will serve as a place to showcase what I make, cars and builds I love, and offer it to people who would love to be a part of the beginning of something new and unique. Who knows where this site will be further down the road, I just know I loved making those parts, I love cars, and I want to offer something to one of the greatest communities out there. Thanks for reading.
